The Pixel phones by Google have made a significant name in the market with its range of incredible features and quality. While the Google Pixel 4 XL was the latest phone launched in 2019, we cannot stop speculating and building up expectations about the new model, i.e. Google Pixel 5.

Let’s take a quick look at how the new device would possibly be.

Google Pixel 5: An overview

This phone is expected to be a flagship phone by Google that incorporates all the missed out factors from Google Pixel 4. It is speculated to be exceptional in its photographic features and probably have well-equipped lenses. With the tradition of Google to launch its phones in the fall season, Google Pixel 5 is also supposed to be launched in October 2020. However, there is not an official release announcement due to the coronavirus pandemic, you can keep an eye on their official website for the latest updates.

How much can it possibly cost you

So far, it is speculated that the new model of the pixel phones will be priced in the same starting range of Google Pixel 4 i.e. it will have a starting price of $799 or  £669. However, it is also expected that to battle the competition with its rival devices, this model might be launched with a lower price range to work well on the affordability factor. Hence, the pricing might start from $699, according to some sources.

What can you expect from the camera?

Google Pixel 5 Camera

Cameras have always been a forte of the Pixel phones, and this model especially is speculated to be designed to awe all the camera enthusiasts. While Pixel 4 has some camera deficiencies, we hope Pixel 5 will make up for those. So for all that we know right now, Pixel 5 could come with three cameras in the rear, with the third lens being the wide-angle lens.

With the wide-angle camera accompanying the telephoto and standard lens, it is hoped that the optical zoom is extended beyond 2x. We also hope that Google continues to offer Night Sight and the potential to capture stars along with improved features in the Pixel 5 model. In the front, we are still expecting to have 3D facial scanning capabilities.

Other specifications

There is no official confirmation about the display of Pixel 5, but it is expected that like its former models of Pixel 4 with a 5.7-inch display and Pixel 4XL with a 6.3-inch display, this model will also follow the same pattern and will be released in two sizes. Sources suggest that the front of the Pixel 5 will carry the bezel at the top of the display and will have a definite 90HZ refresh rate, if not 120HZ. However, it is guessed that Google will do away with Soli radar technology.

Google Pixel 5 Qualcomm Snapdragon 765 & 765G

The Google Pixel 5 is expected to be a Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G hardware. Although there are suspicions about the drop in performance with this hardware, Google’s hold over AI and cloud computing shall make up for it. We hope that the RAM will be raised to 8 GB to compete with its rival phones in the market. You can anticipate this model to provide you with a 5G connection.  It will be equipped with Android 11 software.

With the previous model having a lot of battery issues, Pixel 5 is expected to boost up its battery capacities and solve all the resentments. It is believed that it will add a welcoming power management feature of reverse wireless charging that allows it to charge other Qi-compatible devices by easily placing them at the back of this phone. It is hoped that the phone comes with a 128 GB standard storage capacity, similar to other Android devices.
